While I Was Out

Ahhhh home sweet home. Aside from the fact that I’m more determined than ever at selling our house and getting the hell off this rock, I’m very glad to be home with my incredible family. I know every mom says this, but I really do have the most kick-ass kids around.I’m still recovering from the Big Las Vegas Adventure, but I’ll be blogging about it shortly. The parts I can blog about anyway. I just don’t understand why I waited until age 39 to visit this interesting city. It’s perfect for an aging party girl such as myself. I think I’ll plan on going down there every winter. Who wants to join me next time?

While I was out, I got some very cool surprises in my inbox.

  • The luscious ladies man Lord Likely (actually he’s an everything that moves man) called me a “fine filly” along with a bunch of other cool adjectives and awarded me (and several other spectacular women) his “love” badge.
  • I won a cool book! Susan Helene Gottfried of the fascinating and cool blog West of Mars had a giveaway for the new mystery book, The State of the Onion. She got a ton of entrants and my name was pulled out of the hat. My lucky streak continued in Vegas as well, more on that later.
  • One of my very first blogging buddies and an amazing woman, writer, blogger and friend, Christy gave me the Sweet as Sugar Award. This very sweet award was created by Judy of Sugar Queen Dreams.
  • I received the You Make My Day Award from a woman I have loved since I first met her years ago on BookCrossing.com and became a fan of her writing and books. Linda, you make my day too gorgeous!
  • … and last but not least, a woman who rocks my world and has been a loyal and caring friend to me here in the blogosphere started a very cool new blog all about my personal favorite color, pink. Please go check out Ms. Pink and say hi to Rose! And yes, I wore my hotpink Converse high tops in Las Vegas but I lost my hotpink cellphone there too! (sigh)
